Preventative Aesthetics

The most effective approach to ageing well is also the least dramatic: acting before the visible signs have firmly established themselves. Preventative aesthetics is not about freezing time or altering your face — it is about small, targeted clinical interventions at the right moment, designed to slow the processes that lead to deeper lines and volume loss later in life.

Why Act Early

The Case for Preventative Aesthetics

Understanding why the skin changes — and when — is the foundation of a preventative plan that actually works.

01

Dynamic Lines Becoming Static

Lines caused by muscle movement are initially temporary. Without intervention, repetitive movement causes them to become permanently etched into the skin — and far harder to treat.

02

Collagen Loss Begins Early

Collagen production declines from the mid-20s onwards. By the time visible signs appear, significant structural change has already occurred. Preventative treatment delays this timeline measurably.

03

Genetic Predisposition

A family history of early-onset wrinkles, volume loss, or skin deterioration significantly increases the benefit of early preventative action — and lowers the threshold for starting.

04

Environmental Acceleration

UV exposure, pollution, high stress, poor sleep, and smoking can age skin by a decade or more. Medical-grade skincare and timely clinical intervention directly counter these effects.

05

Lifestyle Demands

Extended screen time, frequent travel, and high-pressure careers place disproportionate strain on skin. Many patients in demanding professional roles begin preventative programmes in their late 20s.

06

Proactive Health Philosophy

Many of Pelle's preventative patients approach skin health the way they approach fitness or nutrition — as an investment in long-term wellbeing, not a reaction to a visible problem.

Preventative Treatments

Building Your Programme

Dr Sabrina designs each preventative programme around your anatomy, age, and skin health — starting with the least intervention necessary and building from there.

Most Requested

Low-Dose Anti-Wrinkle

Small, precisely placed doses of botulinum toxin in the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. At preventative doses, natural expression is fully maintained — the objective is softening repetitive muscle activity to prevent dynamic lines from becoming permanent.

Two to three annual sessions at this stage can prevent the deep static lines that would otherwise require significantly more intervention a decade later. Results should be imperceptible to anyone who doesn't know you've had treatment.

Recommended from: Late 20s  ·  Session time: 20–30 min  ·  Downtime: None  ·  Results: 3–4 months

Skin Quality Foundation

Profhilo

Used preventatively from the early 30s, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin production from within the skin — protecting and enhancing skin quality before significant deterioration has occurred.

Two initial sessions one month apart, followed by maintenance every 6–9 months, is a straightforward and highly effective programme for patients who want to maintain exceptional skin quality as they age.

Recommended from: Early 30s  ·  Session time: 30 min  ·  Downtime: Minimal  ·  Sessions: 2, then maintenance

Skin Boosters

Restylane Skin Boosters deliver hyaluronic acid deep into the dermis, establishing a foundation of skin hydration, elasticity, and texture that topical products cannot reach. An excellent entry-level injectable treatment for patients in their mid-20s onwards.

Recommended from: Mid-20s  ·  Session time: 30 min  ·  Downtime: Minimal  ·  Sessions: 3 (initial course)

Obagi Skincare

The daily foundation of any preventative programme. Obagi's prescription-strength formulations — including tretinoin, vitamin C, and SPF — work at the cellular level to prevent UV damage, stimulate collagen synthesis, and maintain the skin quality that injectable treatments build.

Preventative aesthetics is one of the areas Dr Sabrina is most passionate about — because the outcomes, when properly managed from an early stage, are consistently the most natural and most gratifying.

The key is restraint and timing. Starting with the least intervention necessary, at the right anatomical moment, and building a structured programme around that foundation — rather than reacting to visible deterioration. This is the approach that separates a great long-term aesthetic outcome from a decade of reactive treatment.

What to Expect

Your Journey at Pelle

01

Skin Consultation

Dr Sabrina assesses your skin, facial movement patterns, and family history to identify the areas where preventative treatment will have the most meaningful long-term impact.

02

Your First-Year Plan

A personalised 12-month programme is agreed — typically beginning with the most impactful treatment and building from there. Medical-grade skincare is prescribed alongside.

03

Treatment

Preventative treatments are quick, comfortable, and require no downtime. Most patients book during a lunch break and return to work immediately afterwards.

04

Annual Review

Each year your programme is reviewed and adjusted. As your skin matures, the plan evolves — ensuring you always receive the most appropriate treatment for your current needs.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it too early to start at 25?

That depends on your individual anatomy. Some patients genuinely benefit from minimal treatment at 25; others are better served waiting until their early 30s. A consultation gives you an honest, personalised answer.

Will anyone know I've had treatment?

At preventative doses, the result should be imperceptible. You look like yourself — slightly more rested, slightly more defined. Not like someone who has had treatment.

Will I become dependent on treatment?

No. Preventative aesthetics does not cause dependence. If you stop, your face simply continues to age naturally — without the benefit of the protective effect. There is no rebound or worsening.

Can men have preventative aesthetics?

Absolutely. An increasing proportion of our preventative patients are men in their late 20s and 30s who want to be proactive. Appointments are clinical, unhurried, and discreet.

How much does a preventative programme cost?

This varies by treatment. Pelle Privé membership plans offer significant savings on ongoing programmes and are specifically designed with preventative patients in mind.

What is the difference between preventative and corrective treatment?

Preventative treatment acts before visible changes are established — using lower doses, less frequently. Corrective treatment addresses existing concerns. Starting early means less corrective treatment is needed later.
